Really tumblr?

why tumblr?! Why?! Why, would you just post like 8228728 pictures of pure nonsense on my page. like no thanks, i’ll pass next time!

On that note, this weekend is just stupid. everyone has flooded State College like crazy. there’s no place to go without running into a cop. I understand why they are here, and I totally encourage their presence and authority. I really do!

But what I don’t understand it why this is their way of “fighting crime” when there are better ways to put their knowledge to good use. They could actually be preventing thefts and whatnot, but instead they have been forced to deal with (outside) students and their stupidity on State Patty’s Day. Like Buh bye! please leave now.

We did it! We actually did it! We raised a total of $ 10,686,924.83 For The Kids!

In November, a truly terrible series of events came about that shook our university to its core and students. Past and present Penn Staters stood strong and united, as we all , had to deal with the constant harassing by everyone we know. The countless child molester jokes, being called “Pedophile State University”, and the tarnishing of our reputation was something that no Penn Stater deserved and we were mocked and made fun of for defending our university. But this weekend, the tides were turned and the Penn State family did something truly remarkable, we raised over $10 million for pediatric cancer over $80 million for the Four Diamonds Fund since 1973. Something that should really be admired and taken positively. We finally did something to gain respect back, something that outsiders could look at and say “Wow, Penn State really isn’t what the media made it out to be. This is truly a fantastic university with really great students.” So excuse me if I’m proud my school raised $10 million during a year in which we were torn down and ripped apart. Excuse me if I or any of my fellow Penn Staters upset you by showing the world what we’ve accomplished this year. We are proud to have raised so much for such an amazing cause. We are proud to have stood for 46 hours for the kids. And we are proud to be Penn State, and if you can’t deal with that then go ahead and block us from your newsfeed or unfollow on twitter or defriend us on facebook, because We Are Penn State, and we’re never going to stop being proud of our school.
